Administrator’s guide — How to set up an integration

Welcome to a quick guide to complete integration between PlagiarismCheck and Brightspace!

Before you start, make sure that you have an Admin (Owner) account in PlagiarismCheck. Otherwise, you won’t have access to the integration credentials. If you don’t have Admin access, but you need it, please contact us here.

  1. Login to PlagiarismCheck and follow Profile —> Integrations or just click on this link
  2. On the list of integrations scroll until you see Brightspace. Set up integration between PlagiarismCheck and Brightspace.
  3. Click “Connect” to open credentials required for this integration.
  4. Log in to Brightspace LMS with Admin account.
  5. Click the gear icon in the top-right corner and select External Learning Tools.Integration between PlagiarismCheck and Brightspace.

  7. Click the “New link” button.Integration between PlagiarismCheck and Brightspace guide.On the page for a new link fill these fields:
  8. Title (name our app to identify it, for example, PlagiarismCheck.)
  9. URL — copy from —>Brightspace.
  10. Visibility (make sure it is enabled, otherwise, our app won’t be visible for instructors.)
  11. Key/secret — make sure you tick the checkbox “Sign messages with key/secret with” and select Link key/secret.

  12. Key — copy from —>Brightspace.
  13. Secret — copy from —>Brightspace.
  14. Security settings — Use tool provider security settings.Integration between PlagiarismCheck and Brightspace.

  16. Click “Save.”

The integration is completed 🎉
