Welcome to a quick guide about using PlagiarismCheck in Brightspace LMS!<\/span><\/h3>\n

  1. On your Home page in Brightspace select\u00a0 a course where you would like to enable PlagiarismCheck.\"How<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Click \u201cContent.\u201d \"How<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Create a module.\"How<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. To create a PlagiarismCheck assignment, in a module click \u201cExisting activities\u201d and select \u201cExternal Learning Tools.\u201d\"How<\/span><\/li>\n
  5. In the next window click on the tool associated with PlagiarismCheck.\"How<\/span><\/li>\n
  6. This will add a PlagiarismCheck assignment to your module. Click on this assignment to change the title and continue creating it.\"How<\/span><\/li>\n
  7. Change title, add instructions, select start date, due date, and assign max grade for this assignment. The assignment you create will be visible to students once you enable its visibility.\"How<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
  8. Before publishing this assignment, you can configure how a similarity report will look like:<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    • Exclude sources with less than %<\/b> \u2014 allows you to exclude sources from an overall similarity score, which are equal or less than a percentage you choose. You will see them on the list of sources as inactive, but you can make them active on a report.<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Include references <\/b>\u2014 by default we do not include in an overall similarity the text formatted as references. Tick this checkbox if you would like such text to be included.<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Include quotes <\/b>\u2014 by default we do not include in an overall similarity the text formatted as quotes. Tick this checkbox if you would like such text to be included.<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Exclude self-plagiarism<\/b> \u2014 this setting disables matches in previous assignments submitted by a student (self-plagiarism). If you would like these matches to be visible in sources of similarity, untick this checkbox.\"How<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      9.\u00a0Make sure the visibility switcher is enables, otherwise, students won\u2019t see the assignment.\"How<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

      10. When ready, click \u201cPublish\u201d in the top-right corner of this page.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
