PlagiarismCheck.org starts partnership with ENAI (European Network for Academic Integrity) in June 2018. We are glad to become a part of an organization that strives to promote academic honesty. In its most recent newsletter ENAI brings up an issue of text spinners and paraphrasing. It states that Google requests for “Paraphrasing tool” exceed 1.5 million, and “Article spinners” – 3.5 million. These great numbers indicate a tendency of concealing plagiarism with a help of a technology. How we at PlagiarismCheck.org address this issue? We have taught our algorithm to pick not only a word for word match, but also word rearrangements and substitutions. The system is still able to identify original source of information after text has been put though spinners. Our team has tested it multiple times to ensure the result. We encourage you to test it as well!
